Four of the South’s Largest Festivals!!
This year Dollywood offers four of the South's largest festivals between March and December in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Each festival guarantees to offer both family entertainment and special events.
The Festival of Nations (March 27-April 26, 2010) Dollywood’s Festival of Nations presents the most captivating entertainment from around the world during this month long celebration of music, dance, food and art.
In 2010, Dollywood celebrates it's 25th Anniverisary with great new shows during the Festival of Nations. This year it showcases the rhythms of the world with DRUM!, featuring 20 dancers, musicians, singers and drummers; the South American rhythms of Jallmay; and Invaders, an esemble steel orchestra. Back by popular demand, Imaginé presented by Le Grand Cirque, will premier its cast of international acrobats, aerialists, jugglers, clowns and high wire artists amaze audiences with their athletic ability, lavish costumes, dynamic lighting, mesmerizing music and breathtaking feats.
Go wild this summer at Dollywood's KidsFest (June 11-Aug. 1, 2010), the South's largest children's festival.A new spin on a familiar favorite is in store for KidsFest as the headlining act changes from week to week throughout the festival. Plan now to enjoy them all! See The Paper World Show by Mimirichi rip it up as they tear down the giant paper screen. What's up with comedic juggler Mark Nizer? There's magic, then there's extreme magic, which is what Curtis Adams brings to the stage. Bubbles aren't just for the bathtub anymore as The Gazillion Bubble Show takes the stage in an interactive bubble world. With this incredible KidsFest lineup, there's no doubt you have to see each and every show to believe it!
Fall at Dollywood will lift you up with the biggest Southern gospel festival in the Smokies—four weeks featuring more than 250 FREE concerts at Dollywood's National Gospel & Harvest Celebration (Sept. 29-Oct. 31, 2010) Watch visiting crafters at work throughout the park as the country’s most talented artisans showcase their artistry with up-close demonstrations.
Handmade treasures for the home, unique collectibles and stunning artwork create an impressive craft exhibit you won’t find anywhere else.
Special dishes, all prepared with a taste of fall, showcase some of the harvest season’s most celebrated recipes, including a booth devoted to Dollywood’s signature fried green tomatoes.
